Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to help enhance and evolve our technology stack. This role involves working across modern cloud-hosted applications built with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and fully automated CI/CD pipelines, as well as supporting traditional on-premise virtualised environments. You will collaborate closely within the team, provide mentorship, and contribute to building robust, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to continuous improvement across our cloud and on-premise platforms, including IAAC-based Azure deployments and automated CI/CD workflows.

Lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with engineers within the team and across wider Technology functions.

Produce high-quality documentation and knowledge sharing to support operational transparency and continuity.

Work effectively within a controlled environment, ensuring full compliance with change-control processes and governance.

Role Requirements

Minimum Criteria

Proven experience developing and managing Azure Terraform code.

Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions.

Experience working in a highly controlled, compliance-driven environment.

Practical understanding of CI and CD principles and hands-on implementation.

Solid working knowledge of installing and configuring Windows-based systems.

Hands-on software development experience.

Experience mentoring and training junior engineers.

Essential Criteria

Strong working knowledge of PowerShell.

Good understanding of SQL.

Ability to experiment, innovate, and iterate rapidly (fail fast mindset).

Strong security-first approach, ensuring controls are Embedded into design and delivery.

Ability to deliver high-quality automated testing as part of development practices.

High levels of professionalism, organisation, self-motivation, and commitment to continuous learning.

Clear and concise documentation skills.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage a demanding workload.
