We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager / Project Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of network construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams to programme and budget.
Lead and attend initial and ongoing site meetings, acting as the primary liaison with clients regarding safety, technical standards and programme delivery.
Ensure all relevant operational and SHEQ documentation is completed and returned in a timely manner.
Communicate and implement required technical standards and specifications with clients and customers.
Develop, manage and maintain detailed programmes of works for assigned projects.
Brief clients on specifications, installation methods and material storage requirements.
Oversee site supervision to ensure all network assets are constructed safely, on time and in accordance with approved designs, methods and standards.
Ensure accurate and efficient recording of all constructed assets.
Manage direct labour and subcontractors across your portfolio of works.
Oversee and process variations efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to programme and budget.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate site diaries to support effective project tracking and reporting.
Provide technical guidance and support to clients, customers, contractors and internal teams.
Drive productivity to ensure works are delivered on time and within budget.
Manage material quantities and storage to minimise waste and control costs.
Lead incident investigations and reporting, including utility damages.
Conduct audits in line with the Group Audit Programme and ensure all corrective actions are resolved promptly.
Complete annual appraisals and competency reviews for direct reports.
Ensure staff and contractors meet mandated job profiles and site-specific competency requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and work with senior leadership to enhance operational efficiency.
Strong experience managing network or infrastructure construction projects.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and direct labour teams.
Solid understanding of safety, quality and compliance standards within utilities or civil engineering.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organised with strong programme and cost control capabilities.
