Pension Compliance Officer
Remote- Occasional travel to Peterborough when required
Role:
Work together with the Compliance Manager within the wider Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) function for the UK Pensions space, to ensure the development of the operational compliance framework & consistent implementation.
Support Compliance Manager in the analysis of issues and operational events and support management in preparation of required compliance management documents for management reporting.
Support on compliance monitoring programme, Incident Management and breach investigations.
Participate in Annual Compliance Plan activities, documenting findings and drafting reports, and tracking any actions to completion.
Help support reviews of relevant documentation including member communications, operational procedures, policies and processes.
Support Operational teams with compliance and technical pension queries.
Help maintain a culture of compliance within the Pensions team, highlight or escalate areas of concern, non-compliance issues or irregularities.
Collaborate and co-operate with Risk Management and Audit team members
Support Compliance Manager to perform any other related tasks as required.
About us
The Pensions team comprises of 3 pillars – IT, Operations and Risk Management & Compliance. The team operates the Pension administration for a UK Occupational Pension Master Trust. The Compliance Manager to whom this role reports, will support the development, and maintenance of the compliance framework and will be responsible for compliance activities with regard to the Pension Administration. The Head of Risk and Compliance provides oversight over all risk-taking activities of Pension Administration services.
About you
Pension industry experience, preferably in a technical/compliance role.
Relevant knowledge of Pensions Legislation, TPR requirements and Codes of Practice.
Knowledge and understanding of Auto Enrolment regulations and DC Master Trusts.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
Ability and courage to constructively challenge strategic and transactional business propositions, but also the business mind set to be solutions oriented.
Team player; willingness to share knowledge and experience within and across teams and functions
Excellent written and verbal communications.
